On Saturday 21st July, the eXXpedition ‘Leg 2’ crew kick-started their journey through the Great Pacific Garbage Patch investigating the impact of, and solutions to, single-use plastic in the world’s oceans.
The crew plan to sail around the south point of Vancouver Island and up the west coast to the Broken Islands, where they will undertake a remote beach clean-up with local partners, before sailing to Seattle on Saturday 28th July where the North Pacific 2018 mission will end.
