In 2024, Döhle Yachts made significant strides in its commitment to sustainability by offsetting a total of 323 tonnes of CO2e. This impressive achievement was made possible through the support of four diverse and impactful projects around the globe. Last year, we supported:

Henrietta Solar Project in Mauritius: This project harnesses solar energy to provide a sustainable and renewable source of power, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

Larimar Wind Project in the Dominican Republic: By utilising wind energy, this project contributes to cleaner air and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Vader P Wind Project in Aruba: Similar to the Larimar project, this initiative focuses on wind energy to promote sustainable power generation.

Ombepo Wind Project in Namibia: This project also leverages wind energy, supporting the local community with renewable energy solutions.

Through these initiatives, Döhle Yachts not only offsets its carbon footprint but also contributes to a more sustainable and equitable future for all. These projects were chosen because they were close to our team’s heart and align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that we aim to contribute to, specifically:

Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.

Goal 13: Climate Action: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

Our contributions to these projects were facilitated through Yacht Carbon Offset, a fantastic organisation dedicated to providing carbon offset solutions specifically tailored for the yachting industry. This partnership underscores Döhle Yachts’ commitment to integrating sustainability into all aspects of its operations.

Sustainability within the superyacht industry is gaining momentum as more companies and individuals recognise the importance of reducing their environmental impact. Döhle Yachts is eager to do its part by leading the way in carbon offsetting and promoting sustainable practices within the industry.

Looking ahead to 2025, we will continue our carbon offsetting efforts with even greater dedication. This includes offsetting the carbon emissions from third-party travel and encouraging clients to join in these offsetting behaviours. Additionally, we are continuing to make daily efforts to travel less, where practicable, and reduce our carbon footprint within our offices.
