New “Best Management Practice” counter piracy guidelines have been issued. BMP5, which has replaced the widely used BMP4, outlines measures for deterring piracy and enhancing maritime security in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. The Global Counter Piracy Guidance for Companies, Masters and Seafarers has also been published. Both documents can be found in the Knowledge section of our website here.
