Döhle Yachts is proud to announce its involvement with the Trinity House Maritime Charity as co-sponsors of Deck Cadets enrolled at the prestigious Warsash Superyacht Academy.
Incorporated by Royal Charter in 1514, Trinity House is one of the the UK’s largest endowed maritime charities which has helped introduce a new officer cadet training programme specifically tailored to the superyacht industry. The programme is the first to lead to the issue of a UK MCA Officer of the Watch (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (CoC).
Döhle Yachts are engaging with the Cadets throughout their programme and working to arrange for training berths to be provided on the yachts which we support.
Details of entry requirements for the Superyacht Cadetship can be found here and we welcome applications for the September 2018 intake via our Head of Client Relations and Recruitment, Sally Aston, at firstname.lastname@example.org or through Chiltern Maritime.
At the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding, Director of Döhle Yachts, Richie Blake, said “Time and again I have heard about the lack of opportunity and structure for young people to join our industry and progress their careers, so we are delighted to be the first Yacht Management Company to support this exciting program.”
