Emergency Response and Crisis Management for Yachts
The sea is a dangerous and unforgiving place and accidents and incidents do happen.
We have a purpose built, dedicated 24/7 Emergency Response and Crisis Management Room which is furnished with all the necessary communications equipment and resources. It forms the focal point of any incident involving a yacht we have to manage, whether it is pollution, safety, security or media related.
Our Emergency Response Team (ERT) receives in-depth training and we run regular simulations for the team based on real life situations.
Of primary importance to the ERT is the safety of the passengers and crew with minimal (and hopefully none) damage to the yacht.
Reporting and ongoing liaison with the authorities is essential. The ERT will coordinate with, for example, the coastguard, rescue services, Classification Society, Flag State and insurance company as well as with the owner and/or the owner’s representative.
In addition to the regular emergency response training for the ERT, we have real and relevant experience in managing incidents and the attendant media interest.
